Student Council

“The Student Voice”

The Student Council in Kylemore College is a committee conducted by students and supervised by a teacher. Two students from each year group, totalling 12, sit on the council and are elected by the student body each year. The purpose of the student council is to give students an opportunity to develop leadership by organising and carrying out school activities and projects. In addition to planning events that contribute to school spirit and community welfare, the student council is the voice of the student body. They help share student ideas, interests and concerns with the school wide community.

The Student Council in Kylemore College run regular fundraisers for local causes and help with the running of many events during the school year. These students play an active part representing the views of the student body to the school management and have instigated many changes and improvements in the college over the years.
